Government and Politics AS level at Howard of Effingham School
Course description
Unit 1: People, Politics and Participation in the UK: Voting behaviour, electoral systems, political parties, pressure groups and protest movements.
Unit 2: Governing Modern Britain: The British constitution, parliament, the core executive, and multi-level governance.
Entry requirements
GCSE grade 6 in English or a related Humanities subject.
Assessment
Each module is assessed by a written paper of 1 1/2 hours (50%).
