The study programme will enable you to progress onto a Level 3 programme of your choice and towards the next step of higher education or employment.

*Functional skills or GCSE qualifications in English and maths are designed to provide the necessary levels of English and maths skills needed to ‘function’ in today’s society and workplace. They are a key component of all College programmes.
A minimum of 6 points including 2 GCSEs at grade D or above, one of which must be English. Equivalent qualifications in a relevant discipline will be accepted with GCSE English at grade D or above.
Applicants will be required to bring a portfolio of art and design work to the interview.
Mature candidates will be considered on an individual basis.
You will be continually assessed throughout the course through set project work and a self-initiated final major project. Functional Skills are assessed by on-line exams and you will be given guidance and support to achieve these.
Having successfully completed the course, you can progress to one of the following:
- UAL Level 3 in Art & Design
- BTEC Level 3 in Art & Design (Media)
- UAL Level 3 in Art & Design (Photography)
- Diploma in Make up Artistry
- A choice of National Diplomas and or Level 3 courses across the college
- An Apprenticeship
- Junior roles within the industry.
