Childcare and Education Level 3 Diploma at Stratford-upon-Avon College

Course description

If you are interested in a career in the childcare and education sector as a practitioner in nurseries, pre-school, primary schools, home based childcare or as a nanny then this Level 3 course is perfect for you.

Study will combine theoretical and practical subjects, with a significant amount of work experience in a range of settings; allowing you to put into practice what you have learned.

To ensure you achieve your very best, you will be given guidance, support and mentoring. You will be able to apply your knowledge and experience when working with children from birth to 5 years and knowledge of children up to 7 years.

In the first year you will complete the Level 3 certificate, with successful completion enabling you to access the full diploma in the second year

Entry requirements

You will need to have at least:

  • 4 GCSEs at grade C / grade 4 or above including English Language , or;
  • Level 2 qualification in a relevant vocational subject area and GCSE English Language at grade C / grade 4 or above.

Assessment

You will be assessed in a range of ways that may include the completion of assignments, projects, question papers, presentations, observations and portfolios throughout the course.
