Sport and Fitness Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma and Diploma at Coombeshead Academy

Course description

This course replaces BTEC Public Services as the Department for Education has
withdrawn this qualification. However, because of the units we have selected, BTEC
Sport and Fitness an acceptable replacement.

Course content

Students develop the skills required in the fields of personal fitness and public
services. In addition, they acquire the range of teamwork, professional and
personal life skills needed in any career.
They learn about fitness for health and well-being as well as being introduced to the body systems that are associated with Health and Fitness, plus an understanding of basic Anatomy and Physiology.
There are opportunities to explore adventurous activities and teamwork, along with
the benefits of outdoor activities to further their own skills development and future
work or training.

Entry requirements

Entry will be subject to interview. Students will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic
to succeed

Future opportunities

This course could lead to a career in the Public Services, Police, Fire Service or
Armed Forces, or working with the general public in the Leisure industry.
