This means it can be combined with other courses such as A Levels if required. The full extended diploma involves two years full time study. A minimum of 15 hours of teaching time per week is usually delivered over three full days. Hours and times on other awards will vary.

Entry requirements

You will need to have 4-5 GCSE passes at grade C or above including English Language and ideally Maths or a Level 2 IT qualification or related subject with a Merit.

Students without Maths GCSE are also considered but they must study for that qualification during the first year of the program.

Assessment

The programme is assessed through a range of methods including written assignments, projects, presentations, practical sessions and role-plays. Two units contribute towards a project assignment which is a major part of the second year of study.
