Performing Arts (Acting) BTEC Level 3 90 Credit/Extended Diploma at West Cheshire College

Course description

If you aspire to be in Hollyoaks or Hollywood this could be the course for you! It covers a variety of units which will develop the skills and knowledge that are required for a career in the TV and film industry. Some of the units you will cover include: performance workshops, film studies, film and TV editing, scriptwriting, performance to an audience and acting to camera.
You will work on location and in our state-of-the-art green screen studio alongside our creative Media Film Crew and echnicians. You will be able to progress to university, drama school or in to employment. On the first year of the course you will be enrolled on the BTEC Fast-track Diploma and upon successful completion you may be able to progress to the 2nd year of the BTEC Extended Diploma in Acting (TV and Film Acting).

Course content

Some of the units you will cover include: performance workshop, film studies, film and TV editing, scriptwriting, performance to an audience and acting to camera.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade C or above, GCSE English preferred, or a Merit grade for the Theatre, Performance and Production Diploma and successful completion of an acting workshop.


You will continually assessed throughout the programme.
