Lots of practical subjects in the machine workshop and some classroom work

Course content

The VRQ units are Health & Safety, Machining, Joining by welding, Motor cycle Maintenance .
The PEO Units consist of hand fitting techniques (bench fitting) and electrical wiring
Functional Skills involves English, Maths and ICT. You are also required to study Personal, Social and Development skills (or employability)

Entry requirements

Selection will be made on the basis of an interview and initial assessment. Personal qualities such as self-motivation, a genuine interest and commitment to study are essential
