Business Administration Level 1 Diploma at Blackburn College

Course description

This Level 1 Diploma in Business Administration offers students a chance to find out more about business, we look at planning and running an enterprise activity, how to behave in an office and using technology. We create business documents and look at the job opportunities in business administration. You also get to complete a project using personal investigation.

Course content

This course is designed to offer you A-Level 1 Diploma in Business Administration.

You will study

  • Recording business transactions
  • Supporting business meetings
  • Working in a team
  • Using email

You will also be required to study functional skills in Maths and English.

Entry requirements

Profile of Grade Es at GCSE including English and Maths.


During the year you will have to complete assignments in each of the units. These will be marked by your tutor and must be kept in a folder called your portfolio. Some of the units will be externally marked by the BTEC awarding body. As well as taught lessons you will be encouraged to work on your own in one of our Learner Resource Centres.

Future opportunities

You can progress on to a Level 2 course in Business.
