Course description

You will enjoy this if you are interested in the reasons why people behave in the ways they do. The influence of biological, psychological and social factors on behaviour will be explored. If this interests you then Psychology is the course for you.

Course content

The A level course focuses on the scientific study of human mental processes and behaviours. Knowledge of psychological theories and research is applied to a variety of interesting real life situations! This will help to develop your transferable skills of analysis, evaluation and critical thinking, which will be excellent preparation for higher education.

Studying psychology can lead to employment in areas such as the Media, Marketing, Law, Teaching, Research and Social Policy.

Assessment

Two exams, worth 50 % each. Each paper is 1 hour 30 minutes long.
