What will I study?
• Love through the Ages: study of one Shakespeare play and a poetry anthology
• Love through the Ages (Prose): two prose texts as well as wider reading to prepare for the unseen extract in exam.
A2 English Literature (AQA)

What will I study?
• Love through the Ages: three major texts on the theme of love including one Shakespeare text  
• Texts in Shared Contexts: three major texts - one from each genre (Prose, Poetry & Drama)
• Modern Times: Literature from 1945 to the present day
• Texts across Time: coursework component counting for 20% of A Level grade

Entry requirements

General A-Level entry requirements - Three GCSEs at grade B or above plus two further GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent). At least four GCSEs must have been assessed through examination, including English Language and Maths.
What are the additional entry requirements for this course?
Grade B or above in GCSE English Language and a good reference.
For entry to the second year of the A-Level, you will need:
AS English Literature at grade D or above, the entry requirements for the AS and a good reference or recommendation from your Tutor.
