Course description

Topics covered at AS Level include:
a) The nature of the travel and tourism industry
b) The development of the travel and tourism industry
c) Structure and scale of the travel and tourism industry
d) Customer service
e) Location and types of holiday destinations in Europe
f) The appeal of different destinations.

Topics covered at A2 include:
a) Responsible Tourism
b) An individual research project based on a current issue that is having an impact upon the Travel and Toursim industry
c) The range and geographical distribution of special interest holidays, with a focus on safaris and music festivals
d) Itineraries and the appeal of special interest holidays and the factors that influence their popularity.

Entry requirements

C grades in English GCSE and Maths GCSE. GCSE Geography is beneficial, however not essential.
