Course description

The Construction Industry is rich and diverse with different crafts and skills. There is something for everybody and if you have watched TV shows like Grand Designs, you will appreciate how much work goes into creating a single house. With the work to make and maintain every building in the country, from ancient castles to 21st Century skyscrapers you can appreciate the size and diversity of the Construction Planning and Built Environment sector.

Practical skills are important in this sector, and many roles require physical work. Construction craft occupations have a traditional role in supplying a qualified workforce to small and medium size companies.

Our Programmes are designed for those wanting to enter the industry and learn a selection of skills to either work for themselves, or to gain employment. This supports job-roles such as Painter and Decorator, Maintenance Worker, Plasterer, Bricklayer and Site Labourers.

Our Programmes are popular not only for the skills you will learn, but gaining the hand’s-on practical experience and working within a gang to understand the expectations of being employed in this sector.
