Barbering Intermediate Apprenticeship - Level 2 at Dudley College

Course description

To enable you to gain a qualification at Level 2 in Barbering whilst working within the Industry

Course content

This programme aims to equip you with the necessary skills to pursue a career in barbering.

The course consists of mandatory and optional units :-

•hygiene
•disposing of chemicals
•working in a team
•giving client consultations
•cutting hair
•how to trim and shape facial hair
•how to shampoo and condition hair and scalp
•colouring hair
•cutting basic patterns in hair

Entry requirements

You must be in employment or have secured your own work placement and worked in the salon environment for at least one month. GCSEs at grade 3 or above in Maths andEnglish,
Excellent communication skills and a successful interview.
Initial Assessment in Maths and English at L1 and a willingness to contiue to improve these vital skills.

Assessment

Practical observations and online tests to cover knowledge units.
