Course description
This course is suitable for students who need more intensive classroom support.
Course content
Students will develop communication skills, such as expressing their likes and dislikes. They will take part in basic activities developing a range of life skills e.g. preparing food, travel training and money skills. Students will learn how to work with others
in a positive way.
Throughout the year students will also be supported to improve their functional skills in literacy and numeracy.
Subjects include:
- Yourself and others
- Keeping healthy and safe
- Community and leisure
- Developing independent living skills
Entry requirements
The interview process includes an initial diagnostic assessment as well as an opportunity to discuss your preferences with a member of the team.
