Course description

Interested in caring for and supporting people in a healthcare setting?

This apprenticeship prepares you to work within health & social care in roles such as Support Workers, Care Assistants and Personal Assistants. You need to enjoy supporting and caring for others and have a responsible attitude and commitment to this type of work.

Within the Intermediate Apprenticeship you complete Level 2 qualifications in: Health & Social Care (Adults), Preparing to work in Adult Social Care and Employment Rights & Responsibilities.

Entry requirements

  • First of all you need to find an apprenticeship vacancy in your chosen area.
  • You will have an interview.
  • 2 GCSEs at grades A*-D (9-3), in English & maths.
  • You must pass an initial assessment in English, maths & ICT.

Future opportunities

After completing an intermediate apprenticeship, you can progress on to further study at college or use the skills you have developed and the experience you have gained at work to progress further in your job role/career.
