Travel & Tourism Level 3 Extended Diploma at Hull College Group

Course description

In 2017, Hull will become the focal point of the UK as the City of Culture.  Never before has there been a more exciting time to start a career in the travel and tourism industry. 

This qualification will give you an all-round introduction to the travel & tourism sector for those who wish to further their careers in one of its many connected industries, including retail travel, visitor attractions, accommodation, transport and tour operations. 

There will be a programme of UK and overseas visits for which a contribution will be required towards the cost.  You will also have the opportunity to undertake relevant work experience.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grades C , including English and Maths plus satisafactory intial assessment results or Level 2 Diploma Travel and Toursim at Merit with Functional Skills English and Maths Level 1

Financial information

You will need to make a contribution of approximately £500 over the two years of the course towards the cost of the visits, depending on the final programme of visits arranged.

Future opportunities

Progression to a Foundation Degree in Travel & Tourism Management at Hull College or a Foundation degree or Degree in a related subject or employment.

Further information

Educational visits are an essential part of this course and provide excellent opportunities for research to obtain information for coursework.

It is not possible to achieve the full qualification without participating in an overseas residential visit.  Because of this students must be in possession of a full passport and be in a position to obtain a visa to leave and re-enter the UK.
