Level 1 Basic Construction at Brooksby Melton College

Course description

This course provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry allowing students to learn, develop and practice skills in the following construction trades: bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, plastering, painting and decorating and plumbing with a view to continuing learning in a particular trade or developing into a maintenance operative role.

Entry requirements

1 GCSE at grade E or above or grade 3-9 in English, Interview and Initial Assessment

Financial information

Courses are funded for students aged 16-18. Students aged 19+ may be subject to course fees, dependent on previous qualification. For full course fees please contact course enquires.

Future opportunities

Progression onto a Level 2 in Construction or Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery.
