Bricklaying Level 3 Diploma at Amersham and Wycombe College

Course description

A Level 3 qualification is an advanced level of craftsmanship, and can lead to a variety of careers in the construction industry, with a focus on bricklaying.

Course content

You will learn how to:
Work safely within the Construction Industry
Improve your Maths & English skills
Repair and maintain masonry structures
Construct radial and battered brickwork
Carry out decorative and reinforced brickwork
Construct fireplaces and chimneys


Entry requirements

Successful completion of a Level 2 qualification including a pass at English and Maths.


Completion will be by:
Achievement of each unit via knowledge and practical assessment
Completion of a portfolio of work
Synoptic practical assignment set by City & Guilds
Online test covering the core units and the occupational units must be passed to achieve the qualification
Attendance rate min 90%


Financial information

Learners will need to supply safety footwear and clothing. Drawing equipment and stationery (folders etc.) are also necessary.
