Humanities (Geography) A Level at Titus Salt School

Course description

The two year A level course consists of four major units, two physical and two human geography units. Students will study a range of issues including how population structures vary, how people view their living spaces and how successfully cultural & demographic issues are managed within the UK. The human course also considers the wider world, with a unit on the world’s superpowers, how have they changed over time, the impacts of superpowers on the global economy, political systems & the environment. T he physical geography content considers the interactions between humans and our world, such as why some locations are more at risk from tectonic hazards, why some tectonic hazards develop into disasters and how these can be effectively managed. Water insecurity is considered and the reasons why it is becoming such a big issue in the 21st century.
