Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business at CCP Graduate School

Course description

The 120-credit Level 3 Extended Diploma extends the specialist work-related focus from the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for employment in the appropriate vocational sector and it is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a particular area of work. It is broadly equivalent to four GCSEs.

 Level 3 Diploma In Business

The Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Business is a 90-credit and 540-guided-learning-hour (GLH) qualification that consists of four mandatory units plus optional units that provide for a combined total of 60 credits.

Mandatory units

Unit 1: The Business Environment (10 credits)
Unit 2: Business Resources (10 credits)
Unit 3: Introduction to Marketing (10 credits)
Unit 4: Business Communication (10 credits)

Management Pathway Optional units (Choose any two 20 credits)

Unit 17: Training in the Business Workplace (10 credits)
Unit 18: Managing a Business Event (10 credits)
Unit 19: Developing Teams in Business (10 credits)
Unit 20: Managing Physical Resources in a Business Environment (10 credits)

Plus 6 other optional Units

Study Methods

  • Lectures, IT workshops, discussions, group and individual project work.

Entry requirements

16-18 years old.
19 – 24 years old subject to funding
5 GCSEs grades A*-C including English and maths or a Level 2
qualification, or equivalent, in a related subject at merit or above,
with GCSE English and maths at grade C or above.
Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)
19+ with no funding = £2,499
