BTEC Health and Social Care Level 3 Diploma (Double) at Cotswold Edge Sixth Form

Course description

This course is made up of 14 pieces of coursework. It is a requirement of the course that students attend work experience one day a week. There are 8 core units, with a placement journal to be completed. There are 6 mandatory units selected by the course tutor.

Entry requirements

For all Level 3 courses, students are expected to have achieved a minimum of 5 GGSEs at grade C or equivalent.


This course is made up of 100% coursework. There are no external examinations. Please ensure that you tick this in two blocks.

Future opportunities

Students have been known to take this course with single Biology which provides the opportunity to acquire enough UCAS points for university courses in nursing or midwifery. Alternatively students can progress to a career in care.
