Course description

Through this course you will develop your skills of dealing with problems of bias and prejudice; identify reasons why particular events happen and understand the role of individuals in shaping these events. Units studied are:

The Tudors: England, 1485-1603

Consolidation of the Tudor Dynasty: England, 1485-1547

England: Turmoil and Triumph, 1547-1603

Democracy and Nazism: Germany, 1918-1945

The Weimar Republic, 1918-1933

Nazi Germany, 1933-1945

Historical Investigation (coursework)

3,000-4,000 words

Entry requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs at a Pass Grade are required.
Some courses have specific subject grade requirements for entry. For more details, please contact staff at your place of study.


80% Exam and 20% Coursework.
