Mathematics at Bodmin College

Course description

A’ Level Mathematics deepens your understanding of the natural world. We go from statistical analysis to predicting outcomes in the statistics module. We model real life, practical scenarios and calculate results using Mechanics and Decision Mathematics. Crucially, we abstract concepts from theoretical problems which helps to develop algebraic skills, a key element of pure mathematics. For the AS Mathematics you will study two pure modules and an applied module in Decision Mathematics.

You will study two pure modules and either a Statistics or Mechanics module for the A2.
