Psychology A-level OUN at Invictus Sixth Form

Course description

The study of Psychology allows you to understand the complexities of human behaviour. By choosing AS or A Level Psychology you will appreciate how the mind works, the stages of early social development, the effects of social influence and principles of psychological research. Psychology encourages you to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to everyday life experiences.

Entry requirements

Specific Entry Requirements: Maths, English and Science A*-C or equivalent


3 x 2 hour exams. Each paper totals 33.3% of the A Level.

A Level Psychology provides an essential foundation for those wishing to go on to Higher Education courses in Science, Humanities and Social Sciences. Psychology graduates can be found in almost any area of life. A psychology degree opens up a wide range of career opportunities including police work, social work, teaching, nursing, sport and human management.
