Geography A Level at South Devon College

Course description

A Level Geography students will have a natural ability to see the processes apparent in nature and will be keen to understand them further. You will study four modules during the AS Level on this course: coastal environments, river processes, population change and energy issues. Assessment is through two exams; one on modular content and the other on geographical skills. You will then progress to study a further four modules at A2, covering plate tectonic, ecosystems, development and globalisation and finally, world cities. During your studies over both years you will also be conducting field research during various trips.

  • You must have a GCSE Grade B in Maths
