Entry requirements

To study the Extended Diploma, you must have successfully completed the 90 Credit Diploma.

Application process will be an audition, followed by an interview. The content of which depends on your specialism.

Acting – Participation in an acting workshop plus the performance of two learnt monologues (one provided by the college, one of your own choice.)

Musical Theatre – Participation in acting and dance workshops plus the performance of one learnt monologue (provided by the college) and one learnt song of your choice.

 

Assessment

You will be assessed through internal assessment following BTEC/ Pearson awarding body grading criteria.

You will complete nine units of internal assessments.

Methods of internal assessment will include performances, rehearsal process and development and written logbooks.

External work will be completed under controlled conditions and may include rehearsal, live performance and written work.

 

Future opportunities

After successful completion of the full Level 3 Extended Diploma course in specialised disciplines, students move into a variety of different pathways. 

Further information

All 16-19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and Maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade C in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies.
