Course description

There has never been a more exciting time to study economics. Have you ever wondered
- Why do we pay tax?
- What is wrong with inflation?
- Should interest rates be raised?
Studying economics will answer these and many other questions.
By learning how to analyse data and economic models you will be able to assess and present
arguments for various courses of action. Following this you will be able to suggest solutions to real
world problems or to forecast future trends. You will gain a better insight into the global society in
which you live.

Unit 1 competitive markets
Unit 2 managing the economy
Unit 3 business economics and economic efficiency
Unit 4 the global economy

Entry requirements

5 A*-C grades (including B or above GCSE Maths and English). However, the study of business at GCSE is not essential
