Course description

If you're something of a perfectionist, interested in making things, and making things better, then you could be a Maintenance and Installation Engineer in the making! Our Apprenticeship will give you the skills you need to help join the next generation of Engineers in maintaining the industries of the future. You'll be responsible for ensuring that equipment and machinery is operating effectively andworking to ensure that is supports the operations of your workplace. If you choose a career in Engineering, your skills will be in demand in industries the world over. Maintenance and Installation Engineers are responsible for setting up new machinery and making sure it continues to run smoothly. It's a varied industry, and our Apprenticeship will give you the skills and qualifications you need to succeed, as well as the confidence and attitude required to work successfully as part of a team. 

Course content

Entry requirements

Acceptance on this apprenticeship will be determined through completion of Functional Skill entry assessments at the Work Based Learning and Schools Partnership Department and a vocational assessment carried out by the engineering team at the College. Previous qualifications such as GCSEs will also be taken into consideration when selecting. 

Assessment

Assessment is continuous, both on and off the job.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course, you may wish to progress to a higher level Engineering course at the College. You could also enjoy enhanced career opportunities in the Engineering sector.
