This one year practical course offers a wide range of media skills.

 

Course content

  • You will cover different aspects of TV and film production and explore the media industry.
  • Learn how to capture and edit video.
  • Produce your own creative film work through exciting vocational projects.

No formal entry requirements apart from an interview to assess your needs

Future opportunities

You'll develop the skills and confidence required to progress onto Level 2.

Fast-track to an apprenticeship

If you can’t find the right apprenticeship vacancy or you want to do some studying first - no problem. You can start on a vocational study programme then once you’re ready and a vacancy becomes available, we’ll help you transfer on to an apprenticeship.

    • Gateshead College's Baltic Campus is located on the Gateshead quayside, just minutes from Newcastle City Centre and its attractions.

      The College is situated behind the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and The Sage Gateshead.

      The College has its own car park, but at busy times alternative parking is available nearby.

      There is a charge for parking. Students can apply for a permit to allow free parking during study time.
