GCSE in Mathematics at Bishop Justus Church of England School
The course builds on the content, knowledge and skills acquired at Key Stage 4. It will follow the four attainment targets set out in the National Curriculum: Using and applying Mathematics; Number and Algebra; Shape, Space and Measures; Handling Data and will be examined by written examination only. The course will be designed for those students who wish to improve any previous qualification in mathematics to a grade C in GCSE and will provide targetted revision and preparation for any resit examinations.
GCSE Mathematics Grade E or above
Many university courses and career entry requirements insist on obtaining a GCSE grade C or above in mathematics. In addition employers are looking for people who can handle data, gain information from graphs and manipulate decimals, fractiosn and percentages.
