Course description

Chemistry is the science of understanding the world around you, from many of the textiles you wear, to the hair products you are using อด it is all around you. Understanding chemistry gives you a new perspective on your world and a new appreciation of it. Chemists are found rafting through the Amazon searching for cures for cancer, studying life beneath the ocean surface as marine chemists, as well as in laboratories creating new materials.
As a practical science subject, students will have plenty of opportunity to develop crucial skills. Chemistry is an extremely popular subject in Maelor Sixth and the course covers inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, providing an excellent preparation for university.
Chemistry is something of a gateway subject for the sciences. It is essential for many university science courses and highly recommended for others.
