Art & Design (Art, Craft & Design) A-Level at Bridgnorth Endowed School

Course description

Picasso famously said, “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” Art, Craft and Design is an exciting and challenging course that encourages students to be creative and show a more personal understanding of a range of Art specialisms. Students use a range of media, exploring ideas and themes in two- and three-dimensional techniques.

Course content

Students explore Drawing through a variety of media and build up evidence of work in at least two of the following: Fine Art; Graphic Communication; Textile Design; and 3-D Design. Relevant images, artefacts and resources are explored and students respond to these through practical and critical activities.

Entry requirements

Grade C or equivalent in subject if studied at GCSE/Level 2
