Course description

Travel and Tourism covers a wide range of employment opportunities in one of the fastest growing industry in the UK. It includes jobs in airlines and hotels, with tour operators and travel agents or involving tourist attractions, conferences and events, hospitality and entertainment. Gaining a qualification in Travel and Tourism at this level can lead to Higher Education which should lead to higher paid jobs.

Course content

This is the one year Subsidiary Diploma with an option to progress to a Diploma in the second year. In the first year study units include: Investigating the Travel & Tourism Industry, Business in the Travel Industry and Customer Service.

You may also study Cabin Crew and Resort Representatives. If you do not have GCSE English or Mathematics at grade C/4 or above you will continue to study these.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4, including English Language or Mathematics.

A successful interview and satisfactory reference are also required.

    • The site at Kingston Hall Road is the College's main site and houses the Student Registry and Welfare departments as well as Deli KC and the ACT Theatre.  The Arena Sports facility and Arena Hair and Beauty are both attached to this building, which also houses the central administration facility for the College.
