Hospitality BTEC Advanced Diploma Level 3 at Fareham College

Course description

This course will equip you to work, supervise others, and lead teams within a range of settings in the Hospitality Industry.

You will undertake practical activities in our commercial restaurant Avenue 141. This experience will develop your leadership potential to approach workplace challenges with analysis and imagination.

You will gain hands on experience in our commercial restaurant Avenue 141.

 

Course content

The course has core units in:

  • The hospitality industry 

  • Customer care in hospitality

  • Health, safety, and security in the hospitality industry

  • Hospitality business operations

  • Hospitality team leadership and supervision

 

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths and English.

Financial information

Uniform and course material are essential requirements on each course.

You will need to purchase protective catering clothing to comply with Health & Safety standards in the kitchen. A list of professional clothing will be supplied at your application interview.

Future opportunities

Study hospitality or event management at university, or seek further training.

Careers could include: hotel management, conference and banqueting management; guest services/relations, front of house or reception, cruise liner restaurant services, or events management.
