Biology at The Brunts Academy

Course description

The course covers a wide variety of Biological aspects from Human Physiology (heart, lungs, muscles etc), Biotechnology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Reproduction, Neurobiology, Endocrinology and Genetics.

The course also teaches pupils how to run investigations and to be able to analysis the data, this includes completing statistical analysis. Pupils will also cover ethical debates within science surrounding new technologies that are being developed.

Entry requirements

Pupils who are interested in Biology and want a career in science.

The course requires pupils who have done Triple Science (gaining grades A*-B) or Double Science (with recommended grades A*-A).

We also recommend pupils will have no less than a B in English and Maths to be successful.
