You should choose Physical Education because you enjoy it and are willing to work to improve your skills in all aspects of this demanding course.

What does the course involve?

In the course, which involves both theory and practical aspects, you will present four practical activities for examination. Students will all take part in the following activities:

Games : hockey, netball, badminton, tennis, rounders
Gymnastic activities: gymnastics, trampolining
Dance: choreography and performance
Adventurous activities: personal survival
Exercise activities: fitness training
Athletic activities: track and field athletics
Swimming: stroke technique


Other activities are available for assessment for candidates who have reached a good standard of performance.

Reasons for Participating in Physical Activity
Safe Practice in Physical Activity

Analysis of Performance 10% (oral examination)
Practical Examination 25%
