Professional Cookery Level 2 Diploma at Basingstoke College of Technology
This course is ideal for progression from the Level 1 Introduction to Professional Cookery, building on the skills you have previously gained in preparation for work in professional catering kitchens.
Subjects covered include:
- Kitchen Operations
- Special Diets
- Food and Drink Service
- Developing Social Skills
Students will also undertake the VRQ 2 in Food and Drink Service.
To start this course you will need Level 1 in Hospitality and Catering, or accredited prior learning with a skills test.
The course is continuously assessed with testing through written and practical assignments.
If you are aged 16-18, tuition and registration fees are free.
If you are aged 19 or over, tuition and registration fees are payable at the start of each year of study; please ask for details.
If you are aged 24 or over, you may be eligible for a Student Loan to assist with your fees; please ask for details.
This course is a recognised route into a full-time Level 3 course, employment or an Apprenticeship.
