Public Services NCFE Level 2 Diploma at Oaklands College
The Level 2 Diploma is a specialist practical and vocational qualification. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations,activities and demands. The course is designed to give you an insight into the practicalities and realities of working within a public service organisation. The course has a range of diverse and challenging topic areas offering an introduction to the skills you will need when working in the public sector.
Modules may include: Volunteering, Law and its impact, Working Skills, Public Services and Community, Crime, Citizenship, Employment Skills,and Security and Employment in the Public Services. You will study English and Maths as part of your programme at the appropraite level for you.
Four GCSEs at Grade D or above or a Level 1 course.
You need a willingness to learn the self discipline of Public Services work, motivation, committment and enthusiasm to participate in physical activity and voluntary activities in your spare time.
16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
Successful completion will allow you to progress onto a more advanced course such as the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Serivces or other Level 3 qualification.
