Motion Control Apprenticeship at Siemens PLC

Course description

As an apprentice with Siemens in Congleton, you will spend your first 17 months on a training programme to gain an understanding of basic engineering operations leading to an NVQ Level 2, technical qualifications and various key/functional skills.  Following this you will work within the facility to gain an NVQ Level 3 in your specialist area.

The training program is split between academic learning and on the job training. The academic part of the apprenticeship will be delivered by a local technical college and assessments will be conducted in conjunction with Siemens own apprenticeship programme. The program will cover the following areas: electronics, mechanics, production and manufacturing techniques, testing and fault finding and business structure to name but a few.

Entry requirements

For an advanced apprenticeship you should have, or be expecting a minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above including:

 Maths • English • Science

Other relevant higher level qualifications such as A levels, NVQs and Diplomas are required for a higher apprenticeship.
