Public Services BTEC Diploma Level 3 at The John Wallis Church of England Academy

Course description

The BTEC Level 3 Diploma is equivalent to two A Levels. There are four Mandatory units covering: Government and Policies; Leadership and Teamwork; Citizenship and Diversity; Understanding Discipline in the Armed Forces. There are then another twelve units to be covered over the two year course. Students have the opportunity to have achieved the Subsidiary Diploma by the end of Year 12. Other units covered will focus on fitness, outdoor and adventurous activities, career planning, volunteering, navigation and a variety of other topics within the Public Service Industry.

Each unit is internally assessed. Students can achieve a Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*

Entry requirements

Students must be hard working and must also enjoy coursework and working in groups. Students must be able to give presentations in front of audiences and complete independent research.

Future opportunities

This qualification can provide career opportunities in the Public Services such as the Police, Fire Services, Army and Armed Forces.
