English Language & Literature AS/A2 Level at The Bishops' Blue Coat CofE High School

Course description

Learning about English Language provides students with skills that allow them to represent the best of themselves in any situation they may experience. Studying English Literature allows students to reflect on central human themes and social contexts, helping them to understand their own lives. This course encourages students to develop their interest in both language and literature as interconnecting disciplines.

The course will give students the tools to analyse language and literature precisely and systematically, at the same time as developing the students as individuals and as users of spoken and written language.
