ICT BTEC National Level 3 at Charles Darwin School

Course description

The course will give you a vocational qualification which provides a springboard to a university degree in an ICT related discipline or allows you to progress straight into employment. Are you looking to work within an employment sector that holds an array of existing and constantly evolving technologies and presents a stimulating and challenging working environment? The BTEC Nationals qualification will give you the essential knowledge, understanding and skills to allow you to progress into a specific area of work which will incorporate the use of ICT, e.g. systems networking and product development, or into a specific job such as IT product developer, computer games designer and systems analyst.

Entry requirements

5 A*-C grades in different GCSE subjects. Grade C in English beneficial, KS4 IT qualification not necessary

Careers include: systems networking, product development, computer games designer, systems analystThe BTEC National Certificate for IT Practitioners is equivalent to 40-120 UCAS points for university applications
