Course description

This Level 2 course provides a basic knowledge of key areas of health and social care.

Entry requirements

In order to enrol on this qualification you need to have 4 GCSEs at least Grade 3 (D) or above. This must include GCSE English Language and GCSE maths at a 3 (D) or above.You will also need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in order to enrol.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression onto the CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care if you achieve a grade 4 © or above. You will also need to have achieved (or already possess) a grade 4 © or 3 (D) in both GCSE English Language and maths.Although this qualification does not give you a license to practice, it can help you to gain employment in a range of job roles in the health and social care sector such as: - Care support workers in adult residential settings - Healthcare assistants in community, primary care and acute health environments - Care support workers in domiciliary services, supported living or day services - Community-based support workers
