Course description

This Apprenticeship is to provide suitably qualified and motivated technicians with the education, training and expertise to enhance your
performance in employment.

Most job roles will involve the maintenance of equipment and machinery - as an electronics maintenance technician you’ll be carrying out:

•planned and emergency fault diagnosis and maintenance

•testing and repairing electronic equipment and circuits

•testing and repairing communications equipment

•testing and repairing instrumentation and control equipment

•servicing equipment and carry out quality inspections

Entry requirements

You will need 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including GCSE maths and English or an appropriate Level 2 qualification (at a merit if graded) and a satisfactory school report.

Future opportunities

Careers are wide and varied and include jobs as Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Electronics Maintenance Technician, Lift Services Maintenance Technician, Plant and Systems Maintenance Technician.
