CRITICAL THINKING at Langley Grammar School
Critical Thinking is an interesting and thought provoking AS level. The course starts in year 12 and continues into year 13. There are two modules that students will study:
Module: F501: An Introduction to Critical Thinking
This module is studied in year 12 and introduces students to a range of vocabulary, key words and knowledge that they will need to learn and apply throughout the course.
Module F502: Assessing and Developing Arguments:
This module is studied in year 13. Students will be required to read different sources, articles and scenarios and must apply their knowledge and understanding. Students must be competent in constructing and evaluating arguments.
A limited number of places are available, so preference will be given to students with a mean GCSE score of 50+.
