Course description

Chemistry is a most versatile and useful GCE science subject.
It is an exciting and fulfilling subject that will challenge and
develop many of your skills. The practical element of the
course is arranged to enhance and improve skills throughout
the course. These skills are tested over a series of
assessments, with the best scores used to credit the unit.
After studying A level Chemistry, you will have access to a
wide variety of university courses and jobs. Chemistry is the
vital Science subject if you wish to study Medicine or
Veterinary Medicine.
Course Content
AS Units
Unit 1: Atoms, bonds and groups.
Unit 2: Chains, Energy and Resources.
Unit 3: Practical skills in Chemistry at AS.
A2 Units
Unit 4: Rings, Polymers and Analysis.
Unit 5: Equilibria, Energetics and Elements.
Unit 6: Practical skills in Chemistry at A2.
