Site Carpentry Level 3 Diploma at Aylesbury College

Course description

This site carpentry course is for you if you already have a Level 2 qualification, working in the industry or have experience in the industry and need a recognised qualification to help improve your job prospects.

Course content

This course will help to develop the skills employers in industry are looking for such as technical and practical skills, problem solving, numeracy, literacy, team working and communication.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at C or above including English and/or Maths, or a full Level 2 qualification at Merit grade or above. You must show a genuine interest in site carpentry. Entry is also subject to an interview, basic skills screening and initial assessment.

Assessment

Progress and achievement is recorded throughout the year via practical assessments, theory assessments, external tests and a practical synoptic assignment.

Financial information

A course contribution fee of £50.00 will apply, this contributes towards an external trade-related trip, course textbook and course administration. You will also be required to supply your own safety boots and overalls.

Future opportunities

Upon successful completion, you may proceed onto a Foundation degree in a construction related field.

You will be able to find employment within the industry as, for example, a Junior Site Manager.
