ICT BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma at Newman Catholic School

Course description

Students will be studying for the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in IT. This qualification is all coursework and there is no examination. Students must complete 2 compulsory units and 4 additional modules to pass the course. Students study the role of ICT in relation to employment and computer systems.

The four mandatory units are chosen to best suit the student’s needs but generally include units on Digital Graphics, Spread sheet Modelling, Computer Animation and Website Production.

Further information

Most classrooms have ICT facilities available for students and the LRC is well equipped to allow students to study in their own time. Our ICT facilities are open for private study from 8.30am – 4.30pm every day and students are encouraged to drop in and complete homework or any study task. We have digital cameras available for student use and scanners are in all ICT suites.
