Barbering - Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship at East Surrey College
The Level 2 programme provides all the basic practical skills and knowledge needed to work in the Barbering Industry as a Junior Stylist.
There are no formal entry requirements for this Apprenticeship but you must be employed in a barbering or unisex salon for a minimum of 24 hours a week. It is essential you have the right mind-set for working full time and studying at the same time. Having a can-do attitude, being flexible and reliable are also important. You must also be able to communicate effectively with others.
The assessment takes place through coursework, continuous observation of practical skills and end of unit tests. You will also be assessed in the work place by our salon assessor.
If you are under 19 when you start your apprenticeship then tuition is free. If you are 19 or over please call our Employer Services team for advice and guidance on funding and eligibility.
Completion of this course enables progression onto Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Barbering.
