Economics at Huntington School
This traditionally popular subject provides a wide ranging analysis of the modern British and international economy. Economics very much appeals to those students interested in current affairs and world political problems. In addition, those students interested in business and finance will find this course extremely useful. Study of Economics today is very exciting and makes very effective use of ICT facilities and resources. Discussion of current economic issues forms an important part of the course.
In order to enhance students' learning and understanding of the changing world economy exciting study visits to Prague, Moscow, St Petersburg and Beijing have regularly been offered.
5 GCSE grades A*-C.
Students studying Economics at this level should have A* to C grades in a range of subjects at GCSE.
In order to cope with the essay writing needed for the A2 papers, students would normally be expected to have Grade B in English.
